A sinister read that left me completely breathless. Shearsby’s writing will give you goosebumps – Amanda Cassidy
If Angela Healy had reported her rapist to the police when it happened, they could have filed the case, assessed her injuries, helped her fragile state of mind.
Five men did not need to die.
As it is, Newton Flanigan must unravel her past in order to save her last victim. Her rapist.
Told from the protagonist and antagonist viewpoints, The Lost Raven tells the harrowing tale of a young woman whose hatred for men seals her fate.
Can Newton uncover the truth?
Will Angela ever find peace??

This story grips you right from the start, and there is no let-up, it is full on for the entire book. We again meet a female character who I would never want to encounter in real life. It is interesting how small things have major implications – the butterflies wing effect, is evident again. There is also an accumulating of factors that make the future happen in an unexpected way.
We start to learn more about Newton too, who is so wrapped up in his work, he neglects many aspects of his personal life. Let’s hope he survives being surrounded all the time by these crazy women.
Interesting Nicky is more sophisticated in this series by weaving much more complex plots. There is also big picture of the entire series starting to emerge in book 2. I’m very interested in how this will move foreword with later books.
Some parts of the story are predictable, but the climax is delivered with great skill and it leaves you wanting more.
I’m hooked and can’t wait to read the next instalment.
