SRL Publishing wins Theo Paphitis’ Small Business Sunday

SRL Publishing has received a business boost from Retail Entrepreneur Theo Paphitis. Last week, SRL Publishing entered Theo’s ‘Small Business Sunday’ and was one of six winners to gain a retweet by Theo to his 500,000 Twitter followers. The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 2500 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.

Business and retail entrepreneur and self-confessed Shopkeeper, Theo re‐tweeted SRL Publishings’ message to his 500,000 followers and as a result was crowned winner. They are also profiled on the #SBS website (www.theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.

Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK. My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings. The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish SRL Publishing every success.”

SRL Publishing is a UK based book publishing company. Their ‘Breaking the Silence’ ethos runs through their core publishing books that have helped people through bereavement, depression in children, LGBT issues and now recently turned to climate change. SRL Publishing supported Rainforest Trust and throughout 2019 donated a percentage of book sales which helped them save over 500,000 trees in Peru from deforestation. More recently, they have teamed up with Ecologi, and through their partnership have planted over 400 trees in Madagascar and helped with over 23 tonnes of Carbon Reduction through supporting projects in Haiti, Istanbul and Uruguay.

The publishing house was recently named as one of the top winners at the prestigious One Planet Awards, winning both Best Start-Up and Best Overall Company. Founder, Stuart Debar, has also recently been shortlisted for Leader of the Year, and Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2020 Business Green Leaders Awards.
