SRL Publishing has announced that it has been shortlisted for another prestigious industry award. SRL Publishing has made The British Book Award’s shortlist for Small Press of the Year 2020.
The publishing house was recently named as one of the top winners at the prestigious One Planet Awards, winning both Best Start-Up and Best Overall Company.
The British Book Awards are unique in recognising that a book’s success is not down to just one factor. It is the authors creative genius; it is the publishers’ skill and support, and the support of the local bookshops.
Philip Jones, Chair of the judges and Editor of The Bookseller, said: “For a second year, this shortlist shows how publishing is thriving across the regions and countries of the United Kingdom and Ireland. The shortlist shows companies every bit as dedicated to their authors as the bigger publishers and with some notable success stories. It is our pleasure to platform their hard work once again.”
The British Book Awards, or Nibbies, launched in 1990, are the country’s most prestigious literary awards, administered by The Bookseller. The winner of the regional awards will be announced on 20 March, followed by the overall winner, at London’s Grosvenor House, on 18 May.
